Noura is a community and social connection app designed from the ground up for neurodivergent people. Built around the belief that everyone deserves to find their people, Noura creates a safe, low-pressure space where individuals across the full spectrum of neurodivergence ,including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, and beyond can build genuine friendships, explore romantic connections, and feel understood without having to mask who they are.

I designed Noura as a supportive, low-pressure social platform tailored to neurodivergent users, focusing on reducing social overwhelm and improving communication confidence.
Key design decisions included:
Introducing an AI social coach that helps users prepare for conversations, repair miscommunication, and exit interactions comfortably
Designing a slow-paced matching and messaging system to reduce pressure and allow users to engage at their own comfort level
Creating pre-built communication scripts to support clarity and reduce anxiety in real-time interactions
Integrating in-app regulation tools (breathing exercises, grounding techniques) to help users manage emotional overwhelm without leaving the platform
Building a preference-based onboarding system to match users based on communication style, needs, and social goals
